During the week of September 18, 2011 the location-based social platform foursquare achieved it’s 1 billionth check-in. An incredible milestone for the 2007 startup from Brooklyn, and also for location services in general. The idea of humans digitally checking in to locations is not going away; in fact it is growing like crazy.
