Neiman Takes Best of Print for Second Consecutive Year at Philadelphia 2010 Addy Awards

Agency brings home total of 20 awards


PHILADELPHIA (March 12, 2010) — Neiman was awarded 20 coveted ADDYs at the Philadelphia ADDY Awards, as well as Best of Print for its Culinary Confidence Campaign. Thirty members of the Neiman team, ranging in departments from account service and planning to creative and digital, attended the ADDY Awards competition, held March 11 at the Please Touch Museum at Fairmount Park in Philadelphia.


Neiman continued its trend of excellence by taking nine Gold and 11 Silver ADDYs, the second most of any agency in the competition. Neiman won the most awards in 2009.


"To win in so many categories again is gratifying and a testament to our passion for our work," said agency CEO Tim Reeves. "For the third year in a row, we had an impressive showing at the ADDYs. It was a very good night for us, one that will propel us do bigger and better things."


The ADDY Awards, sponsored by the American Advertising Federation (AAF), are the industry's largest and most representative competition for creative excellence. Dozens of Philadelphia and New Jersey advertising agencies compete annually for these prestigious awards that recognize the creative talent within the industry.


The Best of Print award came for the Culinary Confidence Campaign, a series of posters promoting a hands–on cooking school in Philadelphia, created by Associate Creative Director Terese Zeccardi, Art Director Holly Fiss and Executive Creative Director Hutson Kovanda. The company offers classes to small groups of students who want to learn cooking fundamentals, from knife skills to sautéing basics, which served as the basis of the colorful posters. A strong client relationship also served as the basis for success.


"Working with chefs has helped make Betty Kaplan the wonderful client she is," Zeccardi said. "She understands the creative temperament."


Executive Creative Director Hutson Kovanda agrees that powerful client relationships lead to agency achievements.

We've made their passion our passion and it means a lot to be recognized for it among our peers and some of the best in the industry."


A panel of distinguished industry leaders judged the competition.
