Valley Forge Military Academy & College Taps Neiman for Branding Project

PHILADELPHIA, PA (September 13, 2010) — Valley Forge Military Academy & College (VFMA&C) has selected Neiman to help develop a powerful brand platform for the academic institution.

Founded and thriving on the five cornerstones of academic excellence, character development, personal motivation, physical development and leadership, Valley Forge Military Academy & College will work with Neiman to identify the most compelling elements of its brand that will reflect two different schools and two different audiences, giving the institution a unified, cohesive voice.

"After an extensive review, we selected Neiman to research and develop the organization's brand identity, primarily because of their breadth of experience with higher education clients and success in reaching the millennial generation," said Jennifer Myers, Director of Marketing & Communications for VFMA&C. "We are excited about our partnership with them, and look forward to putting the findings of the research into powerful practice."

Neiman was chosen following a competitive process for the brand platform development work. The firm will work closely with Valley Forge Military Academy & College to discern its most compelling brand position based on strong points of difference, identity and connection.

"Valley Forge Military Academy & College is an iconic American brand that has helped to mold some of our greatest leaders, from former U.S. Senator Warren B. Rudman to General H. Norman Schwarzkopf," said Tim Reeves, CEO of Neiman. "It is a privilege to be selected to work closely with its leaders to identify the most compelling positioning of that iconic brand, to help the Academy and College to continue to mold great leaders for generations to come."

Valley Forge Military Academy was founded in 1928 by Lieutenant General Milton G. Baker in Devon, Pennsylvania. In 1929, the Academy moved to its current location in Wayne, Pennsylvania, and six years later, General Baker founded the two-year College, now celebrating its 75th Anniversary.
